Bio Terrava Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal and corporate information entrusted to us by our partners, investors, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices concerning the collection, use, and disclosure of your information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us via our Due Diligence Portal, Contact forms, and web analytics. This includes:

  • Identity Data: Full name, professional title, and organization/firm name.
  • Contact Data: Corporate email address and phone number.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, cookies, and usage data.

3. Legal Basis & Data Retention (PIPEDA Compliance)

Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information strictly on the basis of explicit consent obtained at the point of data collection (e.g., checking the consent box on our forms) and for the legitimate business purpose of verifying investor accreditation, fulfilling NDA requirements, and facilitating B2B communications.

Data Retention Periods

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected:

  • Investor/Due Diligence Records: Retained for a period of 7 years to comply with Canadian securities and corporate auditing regulations.
  • General Inquiries: Retained for up to 2 years after the last point of contact, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Withdrawal of Consent & Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you maintain the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal information. You may withdraw your consent for us to process your data at any time (subject to legal or contractual restrictions) by submitting a formal request to our Privacy Officer at privacy@bioterrava.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

Complaint Pathway

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated and our Privacy Officer has not adequately resolved your concern, you have the right to file a formal complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC). Visit priv.gc.ca for more information.

4. Data Security & Confidentiality

Given the proprietary nature of our bio-ceramic materials and bioconversion engineering processes, we employ rigorous administrative, technical, and physical security measures. Information submitted via our Due Diligence Portal is transmitted securely (SSL/TLS encryption) and accessed only by authorized executive personnel.
